How to Upgrade to Internet Explorer 8

Downloading and installing the updates of your internet browser is an important step in making sure your computer runs quickly when online. Internet Explorer 8 is the most current internet explorer browser and it consists of many useful add-ons that the previous versions lacked,a pop-up blocker and many other useful features.
Steps
  1. Go to a website such as msn.com or Microsoft.com and click where it says to upgrade to Internet Explorer 8.
  2. Once you did that, it will bring you to another webpage and you have to again click on download Internet Explorer 8, for the download to start.
  3. When the setup is completed, click on the option in the dialogue box that says Run.
  4. Accept the license terms for Internet Explorer 8.
  5. You also might be asked if you want to have the msn toolbar 3.0 downloaded and Microsoft Silverlight 2.0 onto your computer. If you want it, then press where it says Yes on the license agreement for it.
  6. Restart your computer now or later once the installation has ended. Once you computer starts back up after being restarted, you have Internet Explorer 8!
Tips
  • Even if you declined the offer to have the msn toolbar downloaded and Microsoft Silverlight 2.0 on your computer, it will not cancel the installation of Internet Explorer 8.
Warnings
  • It takes a while for Internet Explorer 8 to install, so don't think that something went wrong when you've been waiting a long time for it to be installed.
  • If you've had Internet Explorer 8 beta 2, then you should probably uninstall that before you install Internet Explorer 8.
  • Older computers that have the older operating systems such as Windows 95 and Windows 98 are unable to have this internet browser installed.
